ST. FRANCIS OF SAN FRANCISCO
POETRY LIKE BREAD

THE HISTORY OF MY HEART
OH JENNIFER
WE MUST NEVER HAVE A FIGHT

Jennifer was born in Brooklyn, NY where she founded the WordParty hosting poetry, music and performance art in her living room while attending art school. Due to an overwhelming number of creative friends and a few knocks on the door by the local police, she eventually had to branch out to local venues in the East Village. Click on roots for the whole story.

She now resides in San Francisco as the co-host of WordParty Tuesdays Poetry and Jazz Open Mic where you can find her reading with Daniel Heffez and the Nova Jazz Quartet and ushering in local poets to get up on the mic and say something, with her co-host and friend Ingrid Keir.

Jennifer has been a featured poet at local readings in San Francisco including Poetry Mission at Dalva, Poetry Scene Broadcast, Modern Times Bookstore, The Beat Museum, The Red Poppy Arthouse and The San Francisco Public Library. Recently, she was selected by Jack Hirschman, SF Poet Laureate and the Public Library for the 2007 Poets Eleven City-wide contest.

She is the author of two collections of poetry, Simple Language, 2003 and Secret City, 2007 a bi-coastal collaboration with her father's original artwork in response to her poems. She is currently working on a new collection.
