Jan 07 – March 07 Re-cap...

We've been busy getting together events at Club Deluxe and beyond that it's been awhile since we did a re-cap...it must be done!

We've had so many great highlights over the past few months that this page is too small to fit them all, but hope you enjoy it:

The year started off great with a book release party and art exhibit at Live Worms Gallery for Secret City, Jennifer's new book of poetry in collaboration with her father Edwards' artwork. Click here for more on the event.

We had some cold nights but hot crowds in the house at Club Deluxe. New faces have been showing up to show us their stuff. We've recently been blessed to have Sharon Doubiago on the mic, sharing her favorites from her book Body and Soul, and she means the title, Sharon has plenty of soul!

March was National Women's History Month, and when you have two female hosts, you know there's going to be a celebration. Ingrid, Jennifer and Monique put together the second installment of She Speaks, this time at Club Deluxe! For more details on the event, click here.

Mardi Gras appeared on a tuesday and the Nova Jazz Quartet couldn't help but celebrate by playing a whole set of some rippin' New Orleans Style Jazz! Colin, James, Daniel and friends walked around the bar bringing their music to every corner, it was a party! They even had feather masks on as they played.

There has been a lot of experimentation with jazz and poetry and Club Deluxe...now we can even boast modern dance interpretation!

Grier finally swung by recently to play his trumpet and give us some great photo ops.

See you next week!!!
