POETRY & JAZZ JAM – TUESDAYS @ CLUB DELUXE

March 2006 Re-cap...

Get on the chairs, get on the floor, dance on top of on-lookers, fall to the ground, scream, yell, work it out with the band! March was a month of serious letting-loose Club Deluxe style! Check out the ones who shocked us, made us think, feel, laugh and want to get up and dance with passionate joy this month:

– Of course we love Mark Schwartz, but the more we hear his poetry, (and his jokes!) the more we fall in-love. Mark moved us with his honesty, sincerity, liberating political views and sheer keeping-true-to-himself.

– Bah-DANG! Philip T. Nails dropped a truckload of passion on us, got down on his knees and well, showed us his love. Can we get a "Hell Yeeaa-aahh"? Reading from his new chapbook "My Woman is a Tree, (or Leaves Shaped Like Your Ass.) Love the title and thensome.

– Tom came to break it down with his special brand of letting loose. We love him, come down more often!

– Can Bambi Lake make a crowd ooo, ahh and want to get up and dance? Yes she can! Watching Bambi, it's hard to not feel energized, lovely and feel free to be who you are. She's a walking party.

– The boys from Mission and 16th were representing at Club Deluxe. They performed a great word play and flew off the stage. They don't need a mic, they're used to projecting!

– And how can we forget Rashna and Thatcher on the trumpet, at it again, except this time, she broke out her black gloves and well...gave the microphone a little extra sexual healing. Can you please give Thatcher a kiss, he's in-love.

Well, you can see why, it's not called the "WordParty" for nothing people. Come and down and do it right, Tuesday Nights. It's all the way live!

Hope to see you next week!!!
